Welcome to the 9th Vietnam Pharmacy Mission made possible by the generosity of Temple University School of Pharmacy and the collaboration with Mercer University School of Biomedical Engineering. We invite you to follow along with our volunteer charity pharmacy/medical outreach mission for patients suffering from orthopedic and other illnesses and amputees requiring a prosthetic limb. Meet Team 2018
Please meet Team 2018:
Tiffany Ngoc Huynh, Janine Asistido, Tina Lee, Thanh Truong, Truong Bui and Andy Tang.
This team was selected through a highly competitive process and have been training hard since January 2018. For the past few months, they have been practicing their Vietnamese language skills, physical assessment techniques (BP, pulse, blood glucose monitoring etc...), and fundraising in order to prepare for this mission.
Our journey began at 4:00am from Philadelphia. We boarded a shuttle bus for a 2 hour trip to JFK airport in New York. From here we took a 16 hour flight to Hong Kong and then finally another 3 hour flight to Saigon. We were graciously welcomed by our tour company host, Anh Nhat, who assisted with our transition. We will embark on the cultural awareness portion of our trip by traveling to Da Lat city in the central highlands.
